-
1
Restart the modem & router
Power both off for 30 seconds, then on again. This clears the most common faults.
-
2
Check the cables & lights
Make sure the WAN/Internet light is solid. A red or off light points to an ISP or cabling issue.
-
3
Renew your IP address
Forget and rejoin the WiFi, or run
ipconfig /releasethenipconfig /renewon Windows. -
4
Check for an ISP outage
If other devices also fail, contact your ISP or check their status page before changing router settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does it say connected but no internet?
Your device reaches the router fine, but the router can't reach the internet — usually an ISP, modem or DNS issue.
Could the router itself be the problem?
Yes. A reboot fixes most cases; if not, a factory reset and reconfiguration may be needed.
